Nice beach, would like it if it were a bit cleaner. When I visited there was some trash on the beach, though as a national park it's generally supposed to be cleaner than other public beaches, so maybe we just got unlucky. Popular for camping, beautiful view of the ancient Achziv ruins further south down the coast (the ruins are closed to the public).

We had a lovely time in late February - there were lots of other people there but it wasn't oppressively crowded. I can't imagine what it's like though in the summer in terms of crowds. Parking is 10 shekels per car or 5 shekels if you have a National Parks Pass (Matmon). The beach is cleaner than the adjacent beaches to the north and south.

When we were there, there was a lovely sandy tide pool that the kids played in, not sure if it's always there though. There is a really nice picnic area with shaded tables overlooking the view, and a kiosk selling ice cream, pizza, and other snacks. One special characteristic about the beach here is the abundance of seashells on the beach - in some parts the sand is entirely made up of shells.

Most people come for the beach (clean, basic shower and changing facilities), but there are also a couple of nice trails up on the bluffs to either side of the beach. On one side is the small outcropping of rock with the ruins of an ancient fortress at the top, on the other some nice trails through the dune vegetation. The scent of the white broom (Retama raetam) was intoxicating on the trail to the fortress - it was in full bloom when we visited. We also climbed down to the rocky outcropping below the fortress, where we saw people fishing.

Overall highly recommended in the early spring, but I might be hesitant to visit in the high season.

This park is located in the heart of the Hula Valley. It has several trail options, all of which are easily accessible. The longest path can be completed in less than 1 hour, so it's not too strenuous. Highly recommended for a short morning walk.

This place has some of the best views in all of Israel, and it's conveniently located between Mt. Hermon and the Hula Valley. There are lot's of stairs and rocky paths to explore along the way, so make sure you bring comfortable shoes and plenty of water.

It was very very fun. I liked it. It was a little hot when we were there. There a lot of holes in the ground and caves in the sides of the cliff.

Absolutely one of our favorite national parks - we've been many times, and never run out of things to see and discover. Our kids love finding the numbered points on the map that we pick up at the entrance - cave #7 is their favorite. There are a few different parking areas inside the park, usually we drive from point to point but it's definitely possible to walk the whole thing if you're in the mood for a full day and a bit more exertion.

There's an amazing mix of different types of sites here - entire cave systems where people lived and worked, the vast bell caves with natural archways, columbariums, an ancient unexcavated tel (hill) with fields of wildflowers (depending on the season) and a fabulous view at the top, an ancient church. Plus at the second site (via a separate ticket entrance which you have to drive to across the road) there are major Roman ruins including an amphitheater, watch tower you can climb, and an entire city. Really incredible.

This is not a particularly well-developed site, which is part of its charm. It was a bit tricky to figure out where to park and what to see once we got there, so we ended up just pulling off to the side of the dirt road and wandering through the forest paths to look at wildflowers. It was really really beautiful, and the smell reminded me of California forest hiking, for some reason - maybe the sun warming the pine needles?

What I loved about it was the fact that you felt like you could get lost there. The trails aren't well marked, but that's not a bad thing. It was also very quiet most of the time (except when we got too close to the edge of the forest, near the town of El'ad) and we hardly saw any other people.

There is a nice picnic area with barbecue facilities. Especially lovely to see a fully wheelchair accessible picnic table and firepit, with a paved path all the way from the handicap parking spot. We also saw a tent that someone had pitched, not sure if it's officially permitted to camp there but I'm pretty sure they stayed overnight. There is a poorly kept memorial to the Alexandroni brigade, which is underwhelming but has a nice view from behind it. There was also an old crusader fortress that was quite overgrown but fun to "discover".

We went at the end of February, the perfect season to see wildflowers, and we weren't disappointed. The anemones were gorgeous, but I enjoyed the other wildflowers (purple, white, yellow... unfortunately I don't know their names!) just as much. There were also an abundance of colorful butterflies, grasshoppers, and birds. Really a sweet spot to explore for some quiet, or perfect for a family picnic with kids.

Great location. Three different trails - we did two. The one up the the caves is about 20 minutes so nice and easy. The black route is about 1km easy-medium - lots of scrambling but not too much exertion. The longest route is 4km but we didn’t have time for that one.

Worth a visit when the purple Gilboa irises are in bloom. Nice views of the carmel.

Lovely and surprising new national park, only opened in 2021 so still relatively unknown although it's only a half hour from Tel Aviv!

The main fortress has a gift shop and courtyard with tables which is a nice spot for coffee. They show a 13 minute video with an overview of the history. Great views from the second floor. They're still reinforcing some of the stone walls so not every part is open to the public yet.

Outside the fortress are some beautiful paths to the ancient quarries and lime kilns, and winter pools with pretty plants and views.

    Well worth a visit!

I was thrilled when I arrived to Migdal Tsedek today. We were expecting just an ancient bulding but what we experienced was a fascinating bit of history with beautifully designed films, walkways and breathtaking views. Lovely gift shop, gorgeous bathrooms in the ancient stone building. The bonus for me was the herd of charming goats and the bedouin goat herders who smilingly welcomed us into this lovely place. We will return with our visitors and family next week. Well done National Park System, I love this place!

I loved driving up to this amazing crater. The park fascinates me with its gorgeous desert views. There are many ways to see this place.

We drove from view to view instead of walking but i saw many hiking trails. The restaurant we found to eat lunch in was lovely and the food was tasty.

There were nice looking overnight accomodatiins with different views of the crater. We will return again for sure.

Timna was startlingly beautiful. And after I read a bit of it history it seemed the perfect setting for ancient Egyptuan copper miners.

Being older adults , driving from site to site and taking short walks with great views, served our putposes perfectly. The fun bit was at the very end , when we came upon a fun happy and live musical rock concert . The park is clean, well maintained, with wonderful information provided in nice facilities. We definitely will return.

I loved the catfish! They were so cool and scary. I even liked the train tracks that were on a bridge. We saw a special train car that fixes trains. It's connected to Tel Afek, I liked that you can walk in between them and they're both the same map.

Pleasant trails on the coastal cliffs above the Mediterranean. Beyond the scenery, like it because it's clean and feels a bit out of the way and isolated - we didn't see a single other person during the 2-3 hours we were there.

A pretty bit of nature 20 minutes from Tel Aviv. A great place for picnics and barbecues, not really much in the way of hiking trails. There are lots of catfish in the river, many kinds of birds, and very lush plant life including lovely lilypad ponds, trees, and riverbank reeds. There's also a campsite with basic facilities.

Very nice park. Mostly above ground but a very interesting section with the underground water system that's worth seeing. They have a particularly well done 3D model with animated projections onto it in the visitor's center, highly recommend seeing the presentation.

Stunning mosaics, including the "Mona Lisa of the Galilee". There's a nice movie also in the covered part, and a Roman amphitheater. Mostly out in the open so best to avoid when it's too hot or rainy.
